ErrorsBelow are some coil modeling related errors.Closed 3D coils must be made out of manifold components, otherwise a non-physical current  density distribution will result. Since there is no explicit error number  reported when this situation occurs, one should look at the current  density field whenever in doubt about the validity of the coil modeling. Error 148002 - The components of a  2D coil do not appear in the model (material) mesh.  This error will occur if components of a coil have not been swept in the  same direction than the rest of the model, e.g. if a circular coil is used  in a model having components swept in the z-direction.  To locate the missing material coil, one can view the Initial 2D Mesh. Another cause for this error is  when the Make  Multi-Terminal Coil command has been used in 2D instead of  the Make  Simple Coil command. Error 149048 - Coil should be made  of a conducting material.  A coil made of a non-conducting material will generate this error. Error 154024 - No conducting path  between terminals in the material mesh.  This will happen if one or more coil volumes fail to mesh or have a zero  conductivity. This error may also arise if a coil's material component  partially overlaps a non-conducting component having a higher precedence  according to the rules of precedence for partially overlapping components.  The workaround consists of reordering the components in order to assign a  higher priority to the coil component, or to construct the components so  that they do not partially overlap. 154025 - No  conducting path was found between coil terminals (perhaps because no  terminal faces or coil components were found in the material mesh).  This can happen when two coil terminals belonging to different coils are  in contact, in which case the workaround obviously consists of leaving an  insulated gap between the terminals so that they are no longer in electrical  contact. Another reason might be that the coil component is non-manifold. 154026 - A coil terminal is in  direct contact with another terminal and/or a flux tangential boundary  condition (the terminals are shorted).  Some special cases are worth noting: Error 154026 will occur if the  terminal leads are slightly sticking out of the air box (this is usually  unintentional and results from a geometric modeling error); Error 154026 will occur if no air box is present in the model or if the coil is not  embedded in the air box, since in that case a Flux Tangential boundary condition is by default  applied to all the outer faces of the model, including the coil's volumes  surfaces; Error 154026 will occur if the Perfect Electric Conductor material is assigned  to the coil; If the coil definition contains components, those components are  considered to be insulated from any other conducting components and  therefore error 154026 will not occur. 154031 - Ampère's  law violation.
